Sad News and Update for Our OLLI Community

Members,

Countless numbers of you have lost neighbors, friends, acquaintances and fellow community members. Still others feel numb and shell-shocked that such a horrendous event could take place in your neighborhood and in our city. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.

As the tragic events of yesterday morning at Tree of Life Synagogue remain vivid in our minds, we know that your OLLI classes are not likely the top thing on your mind.

It is also true that, at times, keeping up with one’s schedule, seeing friends, comforting one another and staying busy can offer some relief and comfort, if only for a short while.

It is for that reason that we will be holding OLLI classes tomorrow.

OLLI will have coffee, beverages, breakfast pastries, and snacks in the OLLI and McCarl Center Lounge tomorrow, Monday, October 29th, for any member who wants to drop in, hang out, talk, and support one another.

Please feel free to stop by 1400 Wesley W. Posvar Hall before or after class or anytime throughout the day.

Also, please know that if you feel like it could help, Resolve Crisis Center is a local resource for counseling. The 24-hour crisis help line is:1-888-796-8226

Finally, please continue to share with us any information we should know about how we can help with community healing.
