Organizational Meeting for OLLI at Pitt Conversation Special Interest Group (SIG)

October 10, 2018 - 10:00am to 11:30am

Fellow OLLI member,

Do you get the feeling that face to face communication is dying? Have you observed that people often have a difficult time really talking and listening to one another? Do you enjoy good conversation about current events, social-cultural issues, ethical questions and other substantive topics?

If so, join us as we have an organizational meeting for a new OLLI at PITT Special Interest Group (SIG).  (A SIG is a member-driven group, initiated, managed and run by OLLI members who share the interest & with background support from OLLI staff)

With sufficient interest, our SIG will host a conversation-discussion group to consider big questions.  For example, conversation topics could include:

What is a Good Life?  Are Americans a Happy People? Has the U.S Supreme Court become Politicized? Are you Optimistic or Pessimistic About the Future? What are the Pros and Cons of Technology? Does Money Drive Everything?  Are We Winning Or Losing the War on Drugs?

The possibilities are endless!

Register to join us on Wednesday, October 10 at 10:00 AM.  Because of the nature of the group and so that everyone will have ample opportunity to participate in discussions, we have to limit the meeting to the first 20 members who register to attend.

Register for Meeting Here

Thank you,

Norm Wien and Rick Boyle (OLLI members)
