Please see the Member's Handbook for more information regarding Osher policies and procedures.
OLLI Course Registration Deadlines
You may register for any OLLI course, space permitting, until its start date. We encourage you to register early because some courses have limited enrollment and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis; others may be cancelled due to low enrollment. If you register for a course that is filled, you will be notified immediately.
Audit Course Registration Deadline
The registration deadline for each term is the last day of that term's add/drop period. We urge you to call the specific University of Pittsburgh department prior to the first class meeting to confirm the course time and location. Click to read Audit Course policies and procedures.
Class Attendance and Course Withdrawal
You may take an unlimited number of OLLI courses or as space permits. However, only register for the courses and events that you plan to attend. Also, only attend a course or event once your registration has been confirmed. If you cannot attend an OLLI course for which you registered, please email us at email@example.com to withdraw.
You will receive an email confirmation of your course registration. If you do not receive your confirmation, call 412-624-7308 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm your enrollment.
OLLI Refund Policy
For the Fall 2021 term, we will process a refund for your Term Membership fee if you request one before August 26, 2021 . Otherwise, we are unable to provide refunds unless we cancel programming.
Membership in OLLI is nontransferable.
Textbooks and Materials
Texts and materials required by the OLLI course instructor will be indicated on your confirmation. Copies of required texts will be available at The University Store on Fifth, located at 4000 Fifth Avenue, in a special section for OLLI. Texts for audit courses are shelved by department, catalog number, and class number.
Please call 412-624-7308 to inform us of your needs. To ensure accommodation, please contact us at least two weeks before the start of the course.
Severe Weather Policy
OLLI follows the University of Pittsburgh's severe weather policy. Any changes to normal University operations will be announced on major radio and television stations. Off-campus OLLI courses are automatically cancelled when their locations close their sites. If the University is not closed, it is up to the instructor of the individual class to make the determination if the class will meet as scheduled. Cancellations will also be announced on this website and on our social media.
In the event of an OLLI course cancellation, members will be notified as soon as possible and a class make-up time will be scheduled. If you are unsure as to whether a course will meet, you may also call 412-624-7308. Please use your discretion as to the weather and your safety.
