Guests may attend trips, events and travel, unless otherwise noted (*members only), and all require pre-registration. This OLLI at Pitt trip includes an 8 day/7 night guided tour of Spanish Architecture in the cities of Barcelona and Bilbao, Spain.
The trip will include full-day tours with expert architect guides who are experienced with the many extraordinary points of interest on the itinerary. The group will visit some of the most stunning architecture in Spain, such as Barcelona's famous Sagrada Familia, and will include many renowned structural designs from Gaudi, Nouvel, and more!
OLLI at Pitt instructor - architect Matthew Schlueb - will travel with the group. (Note: Don't miss his OLLI summer term course called "Antoni Gaudi's Influence on the Contemporary Architecture of Barcelona and Bilbao)
Other important works that the group will visit include: Paseo de Gracia, gothic quarter, Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila- la Pedrera, Santa Coloma de Cervelo, Colonia Guell Crypt Church, las Arenas bullfighting ring, Guggenheim museum, Ensanche, La Alhondiga and much much more!
